ISSUE 05: Structure and Stone
8 poets explore the history residing within the walls of buildings—from temple gopurams and chinese restaurants to glorious minarets and decaying homes. The poets speak of the political weight carried by these physical spaces and their stories of oppression, resistance and reclamation. What happens when a structure is built to last, but the people it was meant to serve disappear? What stories do these walls say and most importantly, who gets to tell their history?
